I have lived in a smart home for a number of years and am constantly testing new improvements and innovations that could make life easier for all household members and make it even more comfortable. I don’t want to manually control the heating, air conditioning, or heat recovery ventilation, nor do I want to check if everything is set correctly when I light the fireplace.
I love it when dimmed lights turn on for me at night, when the music automatically fades down during an incoming call, and I also enjoy seeing how people react when they come to visit. They usually understand very quickly that living in such a house is far more comfortable. That is why I decided to offer this new level of smart living to other interested parties.
Whether a new feature is usable for the general public is always tested by my wife, who is generally reserved regarding innovations. The features she takes a liking to are usually the ones that subsequently make sense for the majority of users.
